Fine Young Men

They were young and fearless, not much more than
teens,
And they flew their helicopters as grown men it
seems.
They took us into war and brought us out,
Alive or dead they had no doubt.

They knew what they were in Vietnam for,
They knew why they were in a war.
They were the bravest of the brave,
And many a young man's life they did save.

Chances were taken when no one else would,
Weather was never a factor, bad or good.
Flying low and fast or high and slow,
These brave pilots knew what to do and where to
go.

Their crew always felt safe and secure,
Because they knew who they were with was always
sure.
The young men flying these war machines,
Brought many soldiers home to have many more
dreams.
