"Upon The Wall"

Everytime that I hear their names
I think about all their families pain
Oh please Lord help me to understand
Why so many died as these young men
And the ones that will never come home

Is this Lord some kind of plan
So many lives lost over and over again
They fought that war over in Viet-Nam
To serve this country and their fellow man
And the ones that will never come home

Everytime that I hear their names
I see 58,000 plus upon the wall
Etched into the black granite stone
And the ones that will never come home

One day it all came to and end
These young warriors we call men
Forever etched into our hearts
Gone forever but not that far apart
And the ones that will never come home

With-in my soul I'll remember them
They fought for freedom but that's no sin
I'll think about how they died in hell
But then I see all their families pride
And I thank God that I'm still alive
And the ones that will never come home

Everytime that I hear their names
I think about all their families pain
Oh please Lord help me to understand
Why so many died as these young men
And the ones that will never come home

This song is my tribute to the ones who took that fall
And I salute your names that are etched upon the wall
And always remember what you mean to us all
And I salute all your names, that are upon the wall
And I salute all your names, that are upon the wall
